Final information and check in procedure
Dear guest, thank you for booking at Casa Cornacchi. We recommend you to bookmark these pages and bring a printed copy with you.
Check-in time:
The check in is from 3pm to 7pm. Early or late check in is possible but please inform us. As the reception closes at 8pm in summer time (May to September) and 6 in Spring/Autumn time, if you are delayed or plan to arrive after 8pm (6pm in winter) you must inform us so we can organise your arrival.
When you arrive at the residence, park your car temporary in one of the parking lot and come to the reception located in the middle of the resort. If by chance the reception is unattended please ring the bell by the restaurant door (just opposite the reception's entrance).
Outside the reception opening hours (usually 9am to 6/8pm), please call by the caretaker house or phone any of the number below.

Suggestions:
We strongly recommend to arrive to Casa Cornacchi with daylight as it is much easier to spot the signs along the road and to orientate in rural areas.
We advise also to carry (or rent) a mobile phone as it will turn to be very useful when travelling for assistance and in case of emergency. You can also use SMS to inform us about your dealy or expected time of arrival.
At check in:
we will brief you about the living at Casa Cornacchi and how to move around. You will receive a free printed copy of the our Guest Guide which is a comprehensive directory of all amenities around (restaurant, shops, wineries etc.) plus a detailed map of the region and the trails. The reception is open daily and we will care and assist you during your stay with all possible information.
Food and meals:
Simple meals are always available at Casa Cornacchi. At least three times per week we organise traditional Tuscan dinners (usually on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays or Fridays). Check our restaurant webpage for further information or just contact us.
Every accommodations have fully equipped kitchens. You can purchase some food on the way to Casa Cornacchi or from the local shos (Ambra or Castelnuovo villages at 10 min drive). We will provide detailed information about food and wine shops on the area at your arrival.

See the exact location in the map below. Don't hesitate to ask us to send you the best itinerary from your location or you cab use Google maps facilities to plan your itinerary. I.e. if you come from Rome Airport you can plan your route and print it out, see this exemple.

From North - Florence (airport):
Follow the directions to Autostrada A1 entrance and take the direction to Roma. (When you return to the airport, take the Firenze Nord exit and follow signs for the airport.) Drive 56 km to the Exit at Valdarno (about 30-40 minutes). After the tollgates turn right following signs to Arezzo and Levane and Bucine. At Levane turn right (road no. 540) and keep following signs for Bucine and Siena driving by Bucine and the villages of Capannole, Ambra, Pietraviva. About 2km after Pietraviva you find a turn on your right to Montebenichi and Casa Cornacchi. Follow the sign for Casa Cornacchi until destination (2 km).
In alternative to A1 motorway exit at Firenze Certosa and take the highway to Siena. When in Siena keep staying in the highway and follow the sign to Arezzo and Perugia. After 20 KM from Siena, take the exit called "Colonna del Grillo" and follow signs to Bucine (left), after about 5 Km turn left to Montebenichi and Casa Cornacchi. Follow the sign for Casa Cornacchi until destination (2 km).
From South - Rome (airport):
Take the Autostrada A1 direction Firenze (Florence) and drive for about 150 Km to the exit VALDICHIANA. After the tollgate there is a roundabout, take the firts road on the right and follow the sign to SIENA- FOIANO DELLA CHIANA
PERUGIA- ASSISI-GUBBIO- CORTONA- RAPOLANO TERME-IENA. After 1 Km turn right direction to SIENA (road n°326/73) for about 25 Km passing by the towns of Rigomagno, Rapolano Terme and Armaiolo. Take the exit called "Colonna del Grillo" and follow signs to Bucine (left), after about 5 Km turn left to Montebenichi and Casa Cornacchi. Follow the sign for Casa Cornacchi until destination (2 km).
